The National Pensions Regulatory Authority as part of its function to ensure effective performance of pension funds, set up an Investment Working Group to review its current Investment Guideline to make it more adaptive to the evolving nature of the industry. The working Group was tasked to evaluate the Internal Committee’s Report, evaluate all the responses received from key stakeholders, make recommendations and review the existing Investment Guideline for the consideration of the Board of the Authority.

The Chairman of the working group, Prof. Joshua Yindenaba Abor, presented the reviewed report with their recommendations to the Board of the Authority. He expressed the team’s appreciation to the Authority for the trust imposed in them and making them part of the implementation of the 3- Tier Pension Scheme.

The Board Chairman of the Authority on receiving the report congratulated the group for taking up the responsibility and helping the Authority in its efforts of ensuring effective performance of the pension funds in order to achieve the objectives of the Authority.

He said the Board will consider the report and the recommendations submitted and will make the necessary changes to the current guidelines to make it more open to meet changing trend in the pensions industry. He added that the Board may call on them when they begin the review of the report.

Ogbarmey Tetteh, Dr. Justice Yankson, Mr. Kofi Awuku, Mr. Kofi Koduah-Sarpong, Mr. David Ofosu-Dorte and Mr. Hayford Amankwah.
In attendance were the Management of the Authority.
